About Granite & Granite Countertops:

Granite is quarried from the earth's crust and is considered one of the oldest building materials we currently use. It is 100% natural and it is one of the hardest stones next to diamonds. A composition of quartz, feldspar, and mica makes granite the hardest natural material available for countertops. Different colors and veining naturally set granite apart from other manufactured solid surfaces.

All Our Granite is Imported

All of our granite is imported directly to our showroom, allowing us to give you the lowest possible price. All the imported granite is cut to specific sizes and pre-edged, which lowers costs and give the customer an easy 2-day turn around. We have 4 colors (Tan Brown, UbaTuba, SaiWai Black and Bain Brooke Brown) of imported granite in stock for you to choose from, and if we don't have it in stock, we can order it for you! Our imported granite is only $45-$50 a square foot, including installation!

Dry-Treat Innovation

Dry-Treat began in 1991 as a premium developer of specialist concrete sealers for the civil engineering industry, to protect large concrete structures such as bridges, high rises and factory floors in harsh conditions, including seawater and alkaline soil. Over nearly 2 decades Dry-Treat's team of engineers and chemical scientists have continued to develop unique sealers to provide premium protection for a wide range of porous materials, including natural stone, tiles, brick and paving.

The Dry-Treat Difference

Dry-Treat's impregnating sealers are technologically different from commonly available silicone, teflon and siloxane impregnators. Our specially engineered molecules penetrate deeper into porous materials and bond permanently inside the pores, without blocking them. This creates a deep barrier of protection within the tiles, paving, natural stone etc, which not only protects against staining, but against other serious damage, such as salt efflorescence. Dry-Treat impregnating sealers stand up to cleaning chemicals, traffic, sunlight, and even commercial cleaning techniques such as high pressure hosing. We back our technology with written performance warranties of up to 20 years, when the sealers are applied by Heartland Granite & Quartz Countertops, a Dry-Treat Accredited Applicator.

Scratch Resistance

Scratching polished granite is nearly impossible. Essentially it will take a diamond or another piece of granite to harm the surface of your countertop.

Stain Resistance

Visit any cemetery and you will see that polished granite is extremely durable and stain resistant. Manufactured products representatives will try to create a vision of a beautiful countertop gone bad by a stain, however we do not anticipate any stains penetrating our surfaces. In the event a stain occurs it can be removed by using a poultice or "past draw out" of the stone. Granite needs to be sealed to prevent it from staining. Sealing your countertops is as easy as taking your car for an oil change and can be complete in a matter of minutes. Spray on, wait 20 minuets and wipe off.

Heat & Bacteria Resistance

Granite is heat resistant for your everyday kitchen needs. Placing hot pots or bake-ware on your granite countertop will not burn or damage them. Granite will not harbor bacteria any more than a laminate surface. Please use an anti-bacterial soap to wash your granite if you are concerned.

Heartland Granite & Quartz Countertops is very proud to have the knowledge and tools to fabricate your custom granite countertops. Because we are a local business we can reduce your lead-time, overall costs and pass the savings onto you. This will allow customers to be 100% positive that the color and veining of their granite is exactly what they have ordered. To see some of our custom cut product & slabs feel free to stop by our showroom off Route 9 on the west side of Bloomington.
